We prepare the next generation of Himalayan mountain professionals through world-class technical training, internationally aligned instruction, and wilderness rescue education—building safer climbers, stronger leaders, and more capable expeditions.

The Challenge
High-altitude expedition tourism is growing faster than the industry can staff it with certified professionals. Being good on the mountain and being internationally certified are two different things — and for decades, the gap between them has been expensive to close on your own. Even those who do find a program often graduate with a certificate and nowhere to use it: most training in Nepal isn't connected to any expedition company that can actually put them to work.
14 Peaks closes that gap completely — full International Standard and medical certification, zero cost, and a direct line into real expedition work through our own company, 14 Peaks Expedition. You don't just graduate with a certificate. You graduate into a job.

Beyond the Training
The core cohort is our flagship program, but it's not the only way this community sees us. We've spent time in classrooms with the next generation, run specialty skills tracks for base camp crews, and shown up for mountain safety outreach — all of it free, just like the cohort.
Instructors spoke with students about life at altitude and what it takes to build a career in the mountains — opening the door to a path many hadn't considered.
