Mission

Train. Certify. Protect.

We prepare the next generation of Himalayan mountain professionals through world-class technical training, internationally aligned instruction, and wilderness rescue education—building safer climbers, stronger leaders, and more capable expeditions.

01 — Train

Train for Real Expeditions

Develop technical mountaineering skills in real Himalayan environments under the guidance of experienced instructors—not in simulated conditions.

02 — Certify

Learn to International Standards

Train alongside International Standard instructors using internationally recognized methods that prepare you for professional certification pathways.

03 — Protect

Lead with Confidence

Master wilderness medicine, rescue techniques, and risk management to keep yourself, your team, and your clients safe in the mountains.

The Challenge

The best mountain professionals in the world are already working. Most never get coached like it.

The Industry Challenge

High-altitude expedition tourism is growing faster than the industry can staff it with certified professionals. Being good on the mountain and being internationally certified are two different things — and for decades, the gap between them has been expensive to close on your own. Even those who do find a program often graduate with a certificate and nowhere to use it: most training in Nepal isn't connected to any expedition company that can actually put them to work.

Closing
the gap

The Academy Model

14 Peaks closes that gap completely — full International Standard and medical certification, zero cost, and a direct line into real expedition work through our own company, 14 Peaks Expedition. You don't just graduate with a certificate. You graduate into a job.

Zero-cost technical and medical certification
Coached directly by International Standard certified instructors
Direct placement into real roles with 14 Peaks Expedition — not just a certificate
Trained to the same standard as the people who've broken records

Official Partners

An exclusive circle, held to our standard.

We partner selectively — only with organizations that meet the same bar for safety, performance, and craft we hold our graduates to.

Beyond the Training

Other ways we show up.

The core cohort is our flagship program, but it's not the only way this community sees us. We've spent time in classrooms with the next generation, run specialty skills tracks for base camp crews, and shown up for mountain safety outreach — all of it free, just like the cohort.

Interaction at Budhanilkantha School

Instructors spoke with students about life at altitude and what it takes to build a career in the mountains — opening the door to a path many hadn't considered.

From the Field

Latest updates.

Our instructors aren't theorists — they're on real 8,000m expeditions right now with 14 Peaks Expedition, our founding partner. Here's what they're doing on the mountain.

Why Partner

Why back the academy?

Every seat in this academy exists because someone believed talent, not money, should decide who gets trained. Reaching 100 seats a season means more partners joining that belief — corporations, equipment sponsors, and foundations who want to help open the door for the next generation of mountain professionals.

01

Proven Performance

Align your brand with a track record of summit records and international firsts.

02

Raising the Bar on Safety

Fund the certification and medical training that keeps the world's most extreme profession alive.

03

Champion the Next Generation

Help give aspiring climbers the same chance Nima Rinji Sherpa had — world-class training, without the price tag.
